We’ve all had that frustrating moment when we park the car, turn off the engine, and then notice that the windows are still open. Normally, you would have to get back into the vehicle, turn the ignition on again, and close them manually. However, some cars have a useful feature that may allow you to close the windows without restarting the engine.

This can be particularly helpful when rain suddenly starts, passengers are still inside, or you simply forget to close the windows before switching off the car. In certain vehicles, the window controls remain active for a short period after the ignition is turned off, allowing you to operate the windows without going through the entire starting process again.

The trick is simple to try. Press and hold both front window switches in the upward position at the same time and continue holding them for several seconds.
