Late one night, a police officer pulled over a driver who had been swerving along an otherwise empty road. As the officer approached the car, the strong smell of alcohol immediately became noticeable. “How much have you had to drink tonight?” the officer asked. “Just a couple,” the man replied confidently, even though he was clearly having trouble standing straight.
The officer began a sobriety test and asked the driver to walk in a straight line. The man took a few steps, stumbled, and immediately pointed at the road. “This road isn’t straight!” he protested. Next came the one-leg stand, but the driver quickly started wobbling and nearly fell over. “I could do that if you gave me better conditions,” he complained.
Finally, the officer decided to give him one last challenge. “Use the words **green, pink, and yellow** in one sentence,” he said. The driver thought hard for several seconds before suddenly smiling. “My phone went **green green**, so I **pinked** it up and said **yellow**. Have a nice day, officer!”
The officer stared at him in silence for a moment before realizing that the test had gone exactly as expected. The driver may not have passed the sobriety test, but he certainly passed the comedy test. **Would you have been able to keep a straight face?**
