90% of People Get This Wrong: Can You Solve It Without a Calculator?

This simple math problem is going viral again and it’s tricking almost everyone on Facebook. At first glance it looks easy: 50+50-25×0+2+2=? Most people rush to answer 4, and that’s exactly why they fail.

The trick is the order of operations. Remember what you learned in school – multiplication comes BEFORE addition and subtraction. So you have to solve 25×0 first. And anything times zero is always zero.

So the problem becomes: 50+50-0+2+2. Now it’s super simple. 50+50 is 100, plus 2 is 102, plus 2 more is 104. The answer is not 4, it’s 104.

So many people answered 4 because they did (50+50-25) x 0 = 0. But that’s wrong! Did you get 104 on your first try? Comment your answer below and share to see if your friends can get it right!
